Is it hard to learn Arabic? Empty Is it hard to learn Arabic?

I was told by someone that I one of the things that I should do this coming Ramadan is to be able to read the Quran in Arabic. Wow. I hope I could do that next month. Is it hard to learn Arabic? Is it better to have someone teach me or I could do this thru the resources online? Currently looking at the site which PM recommended, madinaharabic.com

Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullaah,

Brother it is better if you could learn it straight away but Islaam is not a hard religion and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala does not burden someone beyond what he/she could not bear. So do not pressure yourself. Inshaa'Allaah learn the basics of Islaam first then you can move on to the next level. You may read the translation first so that you understand what the Qur'aan is all about (which you might have done already).

As for your question, I guess it depends on the person. Some may find it hard and some may find it easy. Inshaa'Allaah while learning it make du'a for the latter.
